Accreditations
The Bachelor’s in Economics program holds a national accreditation granted by CONACE, the Consejo Nacional de Acreditación de la Ciencia Económica, A.C., an agency recognized by COPAES. This accreditation has been in place since 2007 and is renewed every five years.
The Bachelor’s in Economics program received international reaccreditation from the agency AcreditAcción for the 2021–2027 period. AcreditAcción is an accreditation agency founded in 2006. It is affiliated with INQAAHE, the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education since January 2009. It is also a member of CIQG (CHEA International Quality Group) since October 2012, and RIACES (Red Iberoamericana para el Aseguramiento de la Calidad en la Educación Superior) since March 2018. Additionally, it has established cooperation agreements with various accrediting organizations in Europe, the Americas, and Oceania.
The Economics degree is listed in the High-Performance Programs Registry (Padrón de Programas de Alto Rendimiento) since 2013. Students must take the EGEL-Economics exam before graduating. More than 80% of test-takers receive a satisfactory performance certificate, reaffirming the academic quality of the program’s graduates.
The Bachelor’s in Economics program is ranked annually by El Universal. Over the past six years, it has consistently been among the top 5 programs nationwide.
Two of the three graduate programs are part of the National Registry of Quality Graduate Programs (PNPC) by CONACYT. These include the Master’s in Industrial Economics and the Ph.D. in Economic Sciences.
The Facultad de Economía is authorized by agreement with AMIB to administer certification exams in areas such as: • Investment Strategy Advisor (AEI) • Investment Fund Promoter (PFI) • Securities Promoter (PV) among others.
