EXCI exam for the Master’s in Industrial Economics

Information for Applicants to the Maestría en Economía con Orientación en Economía Industrial.

Requirements

1. Hold a bachelor’s degree or have completed all coursework for an undergraduate program
2. Take the general admission exams required for UANL graduate programs:
   1. General Knowledge Exam (EXANI III) — Fee: $1,060.00 MXN
   2. English Proficiency Exam (EXCI) — Fee: $505.00 MXN
   3. The official registration period is in May 2019
   4. Exams are administered at the Facultad de Economía on:

Minimum scores required:

• EXANI III: 1,100 points
• EXCI: 40 points

Registration for admission exams:

1. Go to https://www.uanl.mx/.
2. Click on the “Prospective Students” section
3. Under Graduate Programs, select “Graduate Admission Contest” here.

Once registered for the exams, you will receive: An application form. A registration form for the mandatory preparatory courses

• Duration: Five weeks, from May to June 2019 (dates to be confirmed)
• Schedule: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Costo de los cursos propedéuticos: $2,250.00 MXN cada uno (el cuál será liquidado una vez que haya sido aceptado en la Maestría).
• Submit required academic documents for evaluation to the Graduate Studies Division of the Facultad de Economía (deadline: May 2019, date to be confirmed)
• Attend an interview with the Graduate Admissions Committee of the Facultad de Economía (dates to be confirmed)
• Foreign applicants whose second language is Spanish must take a Spanish proficiency exam administered by UANL

Como dato importante, se informa que la Maestría en Economía con Orientación en Economía Industrial, pertenece al Padrón de Posgrados de Calidad del CONACyT.

Lo anterior implica estar becado al 100 % durante los seis tetramestres que comprende el plan de estudios en los siguientes conceptos:

1. Rectoría enrollment fee: approx. $4,300.00 MXN per trimester
2. Faculty of Economics enrollment fee: $1,430.00 MXN per trimester
3. Course tuition: $5,700.00 MXN per course
4. Además, se recibe una manutención mensual por parte del CONACyT de $9,084.00 MXN mensuales.

These benefits are granted because the program is full-time. Students may not work during their studies and are required to complete a 40-hour weekly academic residency at the Faculty.

Academic documents must be submitted for evaluation by the Graduate Studies Division.
