Bachelor’s Degree in Economics 

Prepares you for critical data analysis based on mathematics, statistics, and other scientific methods. The analysis considers a wide range of indicators—social, political, economic, and environmental—providing a comprehensive social approach. 

Economists provide scientific data (information) to support financial, economic, and logistical decision-making for companies in local, national, and international markets. 

 

 

International Business 

Prepares you to manage import and export projects, understand how international markets operate, and support companies with trade activities and the facilitation of foreign investment. 

Administration 

Focuses on the organization and management of companies. Graduates coordinate human resources, manage company finances, and ensure the efficient use of available resources. 

 

Actuarial Science 

Specializes in creating mathematical, statistical, and probabilistic models and plans, based on hard data analysis.  

Public Accounting 

Prepares you to manage and oversee the accounting and administrative areas of a company.  

No, the program does not offer a double degree. However, it is accredited by the Consejo Nacional de Acreditación de la Ciencia Económica (CONACE). 

And holds International Accreditation through the certification agencyAKREDITA QA”. 

The program is part of the EGEL-Economics High Performance Registry of CENEVAL. As our graduates consistently achieve satisfactory and outstanding results. Many of them have received the CENEVAL Award for Excellence.

Yes. We have active agreements available through the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Our students have completed academic stays in Spain, Canada, and the United States.  

Between 120 and 130 students are admitted each year. The program has an annual intake and begins in August.  El programa es anual y se inicia en el mes de agosto.  

Yes. These exams help us identify areas of opportunity that will be addressed in the preparatory courses.   

Yes. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you avoid making vacation plans during the summer if you plan to enter the Facultad de Economía, as these courses take place between July and August.  

It is a session that provides details about the admission process, the exams you will take (Ceneval, and diagnostic exams in English and Mathematics), and includes a Q&A segment. Additionally, one of our professors gives a brief talk about what to expect from the degree program.  

Admission is based on available seats—approximately 130 students per year. The highest CENEVAL score is taken as a reference, and the rest of the available seats are filled in descending order. 

Admission is annual. There is only one admission process each year, with exams typically held in June and classes starting in August. 

The program isdesigned to be completed in 9 semesters. During the 7th semester, students may undertake optional professional internships, and in the 8th semester, they are required to complete social service. 

The exam includes 6 areas. The number of questions is defined in the official exam guide. 

For the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, the exam includes modules from the EXANII-II in Economics and Probability and Statistics.

Yes. These are diagnostic exams designed to identify students' needs in math and English in order to properly prepare for the preparatory courses. 

Visit the official application webpage, click on the "Survey Submission" button, and enter your registration number and password. 

Information is provided at the UANL Evaluation Center Information Module.  

  1. Requests for information from non-admitted applicants are addressed. 
  2. Assistance is provided only to the applicant. 
  3. Assistance is offered after the official results are published by the faculty to which the applicant applied.

No. High school subjects, even if similar in content, are not eligible for equivalency in the Economics degree program. 

Yes. Only university-level (undergraduate) courses may be considered for equivalency.  

If you have taken undergraduate-level courses and are a UANL student, you may revalidate the subjects categorized as General University Education (FOGU), as long as they are passed. You may also revalidate subjects outside the FOGU category, provided that the course content is equivalent to that of the courses in the Economics degree program. To begin the revalidation process, please contact the Department of Academic Services (Departamento de Escolar). 

If you are not a UANL student, you must also contact the Department of Academic Services for guidance on the revalidation process. If you were or are enrolled in an Economics undergraduate program at another institution, you must apply for the UANL Admission Exam, just like any other applicant wishing to enter the Facultad de Economía de la UANL.

Yes. A scholarship covering the university fee is available for students with financial need. Once accepted, a link will appear in the Online Services portal to submit your request. 

Yes. Although sports are not the main focus, the faculty participates in university tournaments and offers spaces for sports such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, chess, ping pong, and more.  

No, but students, are invited to participate in institutional cultural activities organized by UANL and are supported if they wish to take part in university-wide calls for participation. 

Schedules vary depending on each student’s academic load. However,the program is considered full-time.  Students typically start classes around 8:00 AM and may stay until 6:00 PM, especially since laboratory sessions are usually scheduled in the afternoons.

El inicio a clases es el 11 de Septiembre en el Tetramestre Sep-Dic 2023. (El ingreso a este programa solo es una vez al año).

Si no cuentas aún con documentación, tienes que tramitar una carta en tú universidad en donde se indique que tú título está en trámite.

Microfinanzas, Macrofinanzas y Métodos Cuantitativos

Este programa acepta alumnos preferentemente de tiempo parcial, especialmente para profesionistas que trabajan.

Los horarios de clases son por la tarde de 6:30 a 9:30 PM, una vez a la semana por materia (2 materias por tetramestre), en cualquier día de lunes a viernes o los sábados en la mañana.

La Maestría en Finanzas es de 9 Tetramestres, cada tetramestre se compone de 12 semanas.

Aplicación del examen en línea: 23 de Junio 2023.

  • Examen de Conocimientos Generales: EXANI III

  • Examen Interno: Curso Propedéutico

No requiere presentación de Tesis, y el trámite de Titulación es inmediato al terminar la última materia.

Sí, los cursos propedéuticos serán presenciales del 4 al 26 de Julio los martes y miércoles por la tarde de 6:30 a 8:30 PM. Tienen un costo de $5,000 mxn., y el examen de admisión interno será presencial el 29 de Julio.

  • Poseer Titulo o ser Pasante de alguna Carrera universitaria. (Si no lo tienes, con una carta de tu universidad donde indique que está en trámite).
  • Presentar exámenes de admisión para el ingreso al posgrado de la UANL: EXANI III, el examen de competencia en Inglés EXCI, llevar el curso propedéutico y presentar el examen de admisión interno.
