Dean's Message

Since its founding in 1957 and re-establishment in 1958, the Facultad de Economía has consistently stood out as one of the leading schools of economics in the country. With a tradition of academic rigor, a teaching staff recognized for their academic and research achievements, certified and high-quality academic programs, full-time students, and a Center for Economic Research that connects students and faculty with applied economics in service to society—along with top-tier facilities and equipment. All of this has made it possible for the model promoted and implemented by Rodrigo Gómez, Daniel Cosío-Villegas, Consuelo Meyer, and Víctor Urquidi—as well as the academic and administrative staff who believed in this vision nearly 65 years ago—to remain relevant and enduring to this day.
