Enrollment – Master’s in Finance

Requirements, application dates, and steps to follow:

  1. Hold or be in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
  2. Take the general admission exams required for graduate studies at UANL:
    1. General Knowledge Exam (EXANI III) – cost to be determined.
    2. English Proficiency Exam (EXCI) – cost to be determined.
    3. The official registration period is from May to June 2019.
    4. To register for the admission exams:
      1. Go to https://www.uanl.mx/.
      2. Click on the “Prospective Students” section
      3. Within the Posgraduate section, select the “Graduate Admission Exam” button. There you will find the exam guides. Or, you can click here.
  3. Required documentation for evaluation of the application
    1. To be submitted no later than July 2019 to the Graduate Studies Division at the Faculty of Economics
    2. Papelería para el Comité de Evaluación de Alumnos (fecha límite julio 2019):
      1. Copy of high school diploma.
      2. Copy of bachelor’s degree certificate (including GPA; if GPA is not included, request a letter from the institution stating it).
      3. Two letters of recommendation (preferably academic)
      4. Three child-size photographs
      5. Two passport-size photographs
      6. Completed application form with photo (the form will be sent once you are registered for the exams).
      7. Results of EXANI III and EXCI.
  4. Attend an interview with the Admissions Committee at the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Economics, UANL.
  5. Foreign applicants whose second language is Spanish must take a Spanish proficiency exam, administered by UANL.
  6. For final enrollment at the UANL Department of School Services (DEyA): To be submitted by the first week of September 2019, after being accepted by the Graduate Studies Division
    1. Enrollment will be processed through the system. It is not necessary to physically visit the DEyA office.
    2. For current UANL students:
      1. Inscripción sistematizada. No es necesario acudir a las ventanillas del DEyA  a entregar documentos. Lo anterior, debido a que la revisión de los mismos se realizará en forma electrónica y la autorización de la inscripción, se efectuará automáticamente por el Sistema Integral para la Administración de los Servicios Educativos (SIASE).
      2. Requirements
        1. Have your complete academic transcript (kardex) validated and uploaded by the faculty.
        2. Pay the university and faculty tuition fees before the due date.
    3. For non-UANL students:
      1. Recent birth certificate.
      2. Original secondary school certificate.
      3. High school diploma, legalized by the issuing state.
      4. Certificado de licenciatura legalizado por el estado de procedencia.
      5. Bachelor’s degree certificate, legalized by the issuing state.
      6. Copy of the bachelor’s degree (both sides, reduced to letter size).
      7. Copy of the professional license (both sides).
      8. Original and copy of tuition payment receipts.
      9. Copy of CURP
      10. For international students (in addition to the above):
        1. FM3.
        2. Original apostilled birth certificate.
        3. Revalidation of secondary school, high school, and bachelor’s studies before the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
        4. Copy of apostilled bachelor’s degree.
